Lately & a New Addition! Plus Lots of New Posts:)

So after Mary & James got married, we actually had 3 whole weekends at home! I barely knew what to do with myself! No pics to post because we literally haven't done anything and it has been glorious!!!!!

This past weekend was fun and busy! Friday night we went to Birmingham to celebrate Tony's birthday. We had a little cookout and Britney cut the crap out of her finger and had to go to the ER to get some stitches. EEEK! She apparently asked the doctor if he could hurry up because she had a house full of people. Ha ha! But we had a great time with them just getting to hang out and visit.

Sunday night we had a little going away party for Dennis & Lisa. They are moving to Ft. Collins, CO so Lisa can do her internship for her Ph.D. It was a blast but I'm really sad they're leaving:(

Yesterday we picked up the house, went to the store. Oh, and bought me a new car. Totally spur of the moment but we're both really excited about it. We've been talking about it forever and I've spent about 10 hours on Edmunds.com the past two weeks researching this car and that car, SUV, crossover, sedan, but not being able to totally make up my mind. Today I'm kind of in that "holy crap, what did we just do" phase:)

Yay for me!

PS- Excuse my appearance in these pics. I look a little scared/nervous or something I was in shock that I actually bought a car!

Also, 3:30pm on the last day of the month and a holiday weekend is a pretty good time to contact a dealership:)

Mary and James' wedding weekend (the first of May) was a lot of fun! I have no pics from the bridesmaids luncheon for some reason and none yet of the entire wedding party. But we had a great time and are so happy for them!!!

Celebrity Sighting #2

Ran into this guy at the Blue Grass Inn in Nashville after the half marathon. If you watch HGTV, then you probably know who he is. Shane Tallant, one of the hosts of Designed to Sell. Some might not consider that celebrity status, but I do! :) I chatted with him for about 5 minutes and he is so nice!

Finished!

At the super crowded expo. We were a little overwhelmed by how many people were there! Oh, and they started turning the lights of on us because it was 10 minutes til the expo closed. Rude.
Nervous about possibly running 13.1 miles in the rain!!!
Relief I can't even explain! None of us had very good races so we were all just glad to be DONE!
The first time we have actually made it "out" after a race. At Robert's Western World in downtown.
At the Blue Grass Inn:) Isis (Hiro's daughter), me, Mary & Lyndsay

The last weekend in April we headed up to Nashville for the final of our Half Marathon Trifecta! It had been quite a while since the Seaside Half and a lot of wedding activities for me and Philip so we were not feeling our best. Plus, they were prediciting TERRIBLE weather the morning of the race. That is never good for your pre-race psyche. Somehow we managed to get through the half marathon without any rain (full marathon runners were not so lucky)! And we are so glad for a little break!

I'll spare the details but we had a great time in Nashville and are so thankful for friends that opened their house to us even though they weren't in town:)
