Surprise!, Murder Mystery and a baby!
What a weekend!!! Friday night, we had a surprise 40th birthday party for Philip's boss at Eighth & Rail. It was a blast! The band was great and Christine's made some AMAZING food. Most importantly, Lee was surprised!! So "mission accomplished!!"
Saturday night was Murder at the Juice Joint! The Fukai's hosted a murder mystery party set in the 1920's. It was so much fun and everyone that came dressed up! Everyone did a great job playing their "part" but no one figured out who the killer was!!
Yesterday we were exhausted but somehow Philip managed to find the energy to mountain bike then run! I, on the other hand, went to see He's Just Not That In To You with Lyndsay & Kat (good movie!) Then we headed back to Fukai manor to watch the Oscars. Thank goodness Lyndsay loves being a hostess!!!
Ryan Monroe Donaldson is here!! Jamie had her second little boy early this morning. Ryan Monroe Donaldson weighed in at 8lbs 1oz. The word from Joe (aka Daddy) is that mom & baby are doing great! I'm heading to the hospital after work and I have my camera with me so I'll post some pics tonight:)
PS- The cigarette I am holding in the Murdery Mystery pics is STRICTLY a prop:)

One down...one to go!
Philip did great yesterday!!! The weather was amazing and not nearly as cold as it usually is for Mercedes weekend. He finished in 1:43:50! We got to see a TON of friends after the race and ate at Rojo TWICE in 24 hours. A successful trip, if you ask me:) A big thanks to Tony for letting us crash at his crib!

Two Halfs in Two Weeks!
We're heading up to Birmingham tomorrow for the first of Philip's two half marathons in two weeks. Mercedes Half Marathon is first. He has run it before but they completely changed the course this year so I will be interested to see how he likes it. Then, in two weeks we head down to Seaside for his second half marathon. I'm SUPER excited about this trip because we are making it a little "mini vaca" and staying Friday-Tuesday. We've rented a house in Seaside and I'm so pumped!
As his #1 cheerleader, I'm very excited that it is supposed to be warm on Sunday. In the past, it's always been miserably cold and/or raining! No fun if you are just standing around!
I'm a little sad though. I should be running in both of these races! Obviously, those plans have changed. So I'll settle for being able to drink more wine than Philip when we go down to Seaside:)
A quick update...I am now able to run about 2 miles without stopping! I've run outside a few times but Philip has always been with me. Hopefully I'll eventually get the guts to go out by myself:)
